The largest turboprop aircraft in the world flies again

The Antonov an-22 was a masterpiece of Soviet engineering, commercial but a Flop. Now the only civilian copy of flying again.

For a whole year you stand in the Hangar. The Antonov an-22 with the registration number UR-09307 was overhauled. Now the 45-year-old machine all-around came to be refreshed again for the first time to use one. For the Spanish Ministry of defense transported a helicopter and spare parts between Madrid and Baghdad.

"Thanks to the 4.4-Meter-high cargo space the rotors of the helicopter did not have to be mined," commented a spokesman of Antonov Airlines. This had reduced the time of delivery. The Ukrainian airline has with the-22 one of a kind – it is the last civil operator of the giant Turboprop freighter.
