Paris Orly airport has a large Terminal

Instead of two Terminals of the smaller Paris airport now has only one. So Orly is looking to break the mark of 40 million passengers per year.

Until Recently, passengers used at Paris Orly airport, either Terminal Ouest and Terminal Sud. However, in mid-April, the smaller Airport of the French capital has opened the new building Orly 3 officially. It connects the West and the South, thereby creating a large Terminal with the name Orly 1-2-3-4. Because divided it into four zones, each with its own departure and arrival. Orly 1 and 2 were previously Terminal Ouest, Orly 3 is new and Orly 4 previously carried the name of the Terminal Sud.

Orly 3 is 250 meters long, 120 meters wide and brings to the airport on three floors, some 80’000 square meters of additional space. Passengers on break to flights with Air France, the Air France-KLM subsidiary, Transavia Airlines, Air Corsica, Pegasus Airlines, and Level. The Interior of the airport has been revised from the carriage of baggage, Check-in and Shopping areas through to signage and Wifi connection in the Airport.

As big as Sheremetyevo

The expansion and renovation of the airport has taken four years and more than 380 million euros cost. It is intended to make it possible, the number of passengers using Paris-Orly a year, from its current 33 million to 8 million raise. Then the Airport would be about as large as the Russian airport Sheremetyevo today.

The next project is the Revision of runway 3 is Orly, from July to December. The major goal of the Airports in the long term, a connection to the Metro line 14 until the year 2024. Up to 2030, should also lead Metro 18 from Versailles Chantiers to Paris Orly.
