KLM opened half a Lounge in Amsterdam

The Dutch Airline brings Business-Class Lounge for long-haul passengers at Amsterdam airport Schiphol. The first part of the KLM Lounge has now been opened.

A lot of pilots complained about one in the morning hours, overcrowded Lounge, photos from corrupted tables, made the rounds. So KLM decided at the beginning of 2017, their Business Class and frequent flyer Lounge for Intercontinental passengers at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam to rebuild. In the summer of 2018, the first part of the renovation should be finished.

Now it has taken a little longer. 12. December, the Dutch Airline has opened the first part of the renewed Crown Lounge 52. The second part is still a work in progress and should be finished in time for the festive opening of the Lounge in the summer of 2019.

Five Areas

The Lounge, which is located between Pier E and F, is divided into five sections: the Polder for Work, Sea for Relax, City for eating and Drinking, Dutch Mountain for the entertainment and Sky for fine dining. In the transitional period up to the official opening in the summer of 2019, the areas are still not fully operational, or will be used differently. Finished the Lounge about 1500 places will have instead of 800, the area will grow from 3,600 square metres to 6800.
