The oldest of the Boeing 747-400 of Virgin is 23 years old, the average age of the eight machines is 19 years. To be replaced by Airbus A350-1000. The first of a total of eight firmly ordered Airbus Langstreckenjets will be delivered in late summer, a further three will follow until the end of the year. In addition, Virgin Atlantic and four A350-1000 is sourced from leasing companies. All of these will be in 2021 in the fleet.

New cabin for the A350-1000

In the new aircraft, Virgin Atlantic is also building a completely new cabin. The seats of all classes get an Upgrade. The Highlight of the new cabin is likely to be the Lounge area for Business Class passengers. For Premium passengers, provided the room is called The Loft and, without a doubt, helps to reduce the feeling of Tightness on Board.
