Munich airport lands in New Jersey

The Newark Liberty International Airport, with the Terminal One, a new terminal building. Munich airport has now received contract for its operation.

Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport could soon celebrate a milestone birthday. In 1973 it was opened in and is today the starting point for flights of Jetblue, Southwest, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, and partly also United within the United States and Canada. But his 50-year anniversary will not get to experience the building. For 2022, it will be replaced by a Terminal One, which is currently being built.

The new Terminal, One from Newark is about 20 percent greater than the Terminal A, and should be able to accommodate up to 13.6 million passengers per year. It gets totally revamped Check-in areas, security control and baggage claim halls, and 33 Gates. And now it is clear who will in the future operate the terminal building. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, as owner of the airport on Monday (15. July), the Munich Airport International, a subsidiary of the Munich airport to the operator is determined.
