Air travel worldwide is in crisis mode. Only a fraction of the flights lift-off. "This Situation has a historical Dimension. Hardly anyone wants to or can currently travel," says Lufthansa Executive Board Harry Hohmeister. Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Lufthansa and Swiss drove back operation in the past weeks continuously.

Currently, only around 60 aircraft of the Lufthansa lift-group. Normally, there are 763. As Of Monday (23. March) is a flight plan, which focuses "Mainly on the needs of European citizens, who want to return to their home countries", as Hohmeister explained in a press release.
