Air France's shrinking Business Class in the A330

The first A330 of the French airline has a new cabin. The Business Class offers fewer seats than before, overall, more passengers will fit well in the Airbus.

Air France has equipped the first Airbus A330-200 with a new cabin. By 2020, the French want to rebuild your 14 Other Jets of the type. The total costs of 140 million euros. For Air France can transport more passengers.

So far, the airline is 208 passengers in its Airbus A330 under – 40 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy and 147 in Economy. With the new cabin 224 passengers can now find space. The Business Class shrinks to 36 seats, the Premium Economy will remain 21 unchanged, and the Economy grows to 167.

More seat pitch in Premium Economy

In the Economy Class seats have a pitch of up to 118 degrees. The Seating distance will be 79 inches – before that, there were more than 81 centimeters. The Airline also announced: "you can use a larger table to Work and eat, and on a Touch Screen of almost 30 centimetres, the entertainment offer on Board right after Boarding, enjoy, since headphones are already attached to each seat available." The seats are equipped according to Air France, with power outlet and USB port.

In Premium Economy, the seats have solid shells, are 48,5 cm wide and can be up to 130-degree tilt. The seat pitch is growing from previously just 97 to 102 centimeters. The airline promises "a to different body shapes, adjustable lumbar support, additional storage space, a wider footrest and a HD screen with a diameter of just 34 centimeters".

Honesty bar and Internet
